ePocrates launches diagnostic tool for PDAs
In collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital Laboratory of Computer Science, ePocrates launched an application called SxDx that will guide clinicians through differential diagnoses. The user inputs signs, symptoms, demographic data, and the system lists a number of possible differential diagnoses. I remember Harvard had an expermental online tool that did exactly that, I wonder if it is still the same project. I still don't see it on ePocrates website, but it is definitely something that seems useful. [via]

Epocrates new diagnostic tool is very useful. It is easy to use. You simply type in three signs or symptoms. You immediately are given a list of differential diagnoses. Then if you want you can refine your search by adding other symptoms. I am excited that this is offered. It's certainly a time saver. I have used this feature myself. I found it easy to use and the information was complete and accurate. This is certainly something worth checking out.
Thank you
