Mac Attack

As I sit here looking at my 2002 G3 iBook I start to look at where Apple has gone and wonder where it's going. Next week, on September 12th, there is a well-hyped press conference from our friends in Cupertino. Some have speculated that we will be seeing upgrades to iPod lines with the introduction of the video iPod. Some have speculated that we will be seeing upgrades to the Powerbook line, which is well overdue. Some have even speculated that we're going to see upgrades to the Dual-Core G5's.

We saw minimal pre-press over the release of the ROKR, the iPod-Phone, we saw minimal pre-press chatter about the Nano, the smallest iPod yet. So to see "big" pre-press chatter leads me to believe that we're actually going to see something big. And I think that will be the release of the true "all-in-one," a device that combines video, music, telephone, and PDA. So we'll see what's to come, but don't be shocked if your next device is an Apple device that reminds of the Newton with the slickness of the Nano.
