Skyscape Week- Pocket OB/GYN
As you may or may not know my interests lie in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. When my college friends were reading Harry Potter, I was reading Williams Obstetrics (j/k), but I do aspire to go into the field and try to read anything and everything that relates to Ob/Gyn. When I saw this product on Skyscape's product page, I just had to give it a shot.
Pocket Ob/Gyn, in true Skyscape-style, has their traditional pull-down menu as well my favorite little "look for:" text entry. I found this product to be extremely useful both in Grand Rounds as well in M&M, and when just rounding on patients and reviewing charts.
I definitely concur with their advertisement of:
"All the essentials that students and interns need for daily rounds--including normal and complicated obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, ultrasound, and infertility are included. Tables to summarize fetal growth, formulas to calculate drug dosages, electrolyte management guidelines, and other basic facts are also covered. "
If I had to make a choice between the little red book or Pocket Ob/Gyn, I'd get Pocket Ob/Gyn in a heart beat! Definitely a must have for all those aspiring Ob/Gyn's or those looking for that A on their clinical rotation.
