treo, Treo, TREO!
This morning I received my long-anticipated Verizon Treo 650 (CDMA).
Setup was a snap, and within 20 minutes of opening the package, I was out the door with a new phone and a new found freedom.
Over the next few weeks to months I will put the Treo through a battery of tests; reviewing the device from a medical student's perspective, a cell-phone consumer's perspective, a gadget-guru's perspective, and from a 20-something's perspective.
If there's anything you'd like to see reviewed, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to post a comment-- this website is for all of us in academic medicine!

Look forward to following with Treo 650.
Experienced Doc. Recommend downloading the 5MCC with package and Epocrates if not already done so. Can't put it on card and memory on Treo does not allow for lavish downloads

Hi John-
Let me first start by saying don't worry, it can be done!
I currently have an entire library of Skyscape Products AND Epocrates on my Treo with plenty of room to go.
Here's how to do it:
1) Purchase an SD card- I recommend SanDisk since it's a prodcut company I've been using for years, but I'd get a 1gb card since it's not much more than a 512 and you get twice the space.
2) Install only the .pdb on your SD card and install the .prc files on your Palm. pdb is a database extension and your palm will know what to do/where to find them provided you install these files via the download manager built into your desktop palm application
3 If you have any problems or questions definitely call Epocrates or Skyscape tech support-- they are extremely responsive and VERY helpful.
Good luck!
