"Getting things done" method...any good ?

In my search for ways to improve the organization of my life, I will start reading David Allen's "Getting Things Done" book. Any of you have ever used it ? Would you share your experiences with me ?

Also, any other good "methods" of organizing one's life are appreciated.

I have the getting things done book but have not tried implementing the system as I came across a solution that works well for me while doing some research on getting things done. It is the life balance software which seems to be a good halfway point betweeen getting things done and Franklin Covey's system. Here is the article I found that turned me on to lifebalance:
